Where we operate<\/h4>\n

Burkina Faso is the third poorest country in the world, 45 percent of its population lives on less than a dollar a day.<\/p>\n

Most people live in rural areas and survive on subsistence farming on small family plots of land.<\/p>\n

Maize, sorghum and millet constitute 85-90 percent of the staple diet in Burkina Faso, while in rural areas these cereals make up nearly 100 percent of consumption and little is traded.<\/p>\n
